In the '50s and '60s Somers Point was a great place for music, entertainment and drink. Tony Marts on Bay Avenue was one of the most famous entertainment spots. Many great musicians played at Tony Marts including Len Carrie and his Krackerjacks, Mike Pedison, The Holidays, etc.
